A small firm
with a clear conscience
Brenivo Capital was founded in 2014 in Sandton with one aim: to give people financial advice they could trust because there was nothing hidden in it. We've stayed deliberately small so that every client works with someone senior.
Why we started
Our founder spent fifteen years inside large institutions and grew tired of watching sensible people get steered toward products that paid the adviser more than they helped the client. Brenivo was the answer to that frustration — a firm that earns nothing from what it recommends.
We've grown by word of mouth, one referral at a time, which is the only kind of growth we trust. It keeps us honest and keeps us close to the people we serve.
Who you'll be
working with
Four senior advisers, each with their own specialism, all reachable by name.
Refilwe Mokoena
Fifteen years in the institutions taught Refilwe what not to do. She leads private-client work and every complex family mandate.
Daniel van der Merwe
Daniel untangles company and personal finances for founders and builds structures that hold up as the business grows.
Aisha Patel
Aisha turns portfolios into plain English and tells clients honestly whether they're on track.
Sipho Ndlovu
Sipho keeps the tax and estate detail watertight and coordinates with your attorney and accountant.
Advice should
make you freer
The case for staying small and independent
We could have chased scale, taken commission, hired a call centre and grown three times faster. We chose not to, because every one of those moves puts distance between the client and the truth. Independence means we can say the unprofitable thing — "keep what you have," "wait," "this doesn't suit you." Staying small means the person who gives you advice is the person who knows your name, your family and your file. That's not a limitation we apologise for; it's the whole point of the firm.
The rest is best said in person
